        2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
                   
This full bodied Cabernet has currant, raspberry, blackberry, cherry and
                     iight smoky oak on the n
ose, all of which repeat on the pallet, and finish
                     intense. Color is rich and almost black.  Well balanced and integrated,
                     this cab is great with a fatty steak such as rib eye or game.  Try with
                     dark chocolate to lighten tannin.  
NEW RELEASE

           2015 Cabernet Franc
                    From Cottonwood Vineyard’s grapes, this wine would go well 
                    with Prime Rib or any red meat.  It has ripe, smooth, soft,
                    attractive aromas of black raspberry, blackberry, and black cherry
                    plus hints of vanilla and smoke.  All repeat as flavors which
                    are light bodied,  are not sweet and are accented with light tannin.


          Classic Blend (non-vintage) - A Bordeaux blend of 1/3 each 
                   Cabernet  Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
                   The flavor  and  aroma reflect all of these wines with nice ripe      
                   fruit and full bodied with tannin.  See descriptions on individual
                   wines. Colorado grapes from Cottonwood Vineyards and 
                    Palisade.    Try with game, elk or any red meat.
               
       2017 Merlot
              This  Merlot is big, with aromas black cherry, and ripe fruit, the
                   fruit flavor up front blend into flavors of  toasted oak, light spice
                   and moderate tannins with good structure and lots of
                   complexity.  Try it with roast duck and a black cherry sauce.
                   It will accompany any red meat, but is best paired with Colorado
                   lamb.

        
                     
       2017 Lemberger   
               An Austrian varietal Lemberger, is rapidly becoming Colorado’s
               grape.  A full-bodied dark dry red, this wine has lots of fruit
               up front (strawberry, cherry and peach), followed by an
               earthy note, fresh ground black pepper and light toasted oak.
               Light tannin astringency.  Designed to go with pork, it is
               very versatile with food and works especially well with
               sausages and BBQ.  Try with appetizers and light foods.
               Good for parties.

  
       2018 Gewurztraminer
               Opens with a fruity bouquet joined by sweet pear and

               grapefruit.  Flavors of apple, pear, grapefruit, and a hint of

               spice fill the mouth then finish broad and long.  The 

               sweetness is well balanced by bright acidity making it a very

               refreshing  summer quaffer. Pairs well with German, Asian,      

               and spicy food, or nice to sip on a warm summer evening. . 
  
          


          2018 Chardonnay

                    Fermented Sur Lees method in new oak barrels with a light            

                    creamy bouquet of oak, apple, and pineapple. Flavors of apple, 

                    unripe pineapple and oak are laced with firm acidity and moderate

                    tannin.  It finishes medium-broad and medium-long with a

                    lingering spicy oak flavor  Pairs well with a variety of foods, fish,

                    chicken, cheeses etc....


        


 

       Tawny Merlot (port) 375ml - $39.00

              Tawny Port, 40 Proof (20% alcohol), 10% residual sugar.

              Intense black cherry flavor!  Oak barrel aged for years with a

              blend of  2001, 2003 and a bit of 2005 Merlot. Nice over ice 

              cream, with banana bread and cigars.  A dessert wine

Claret 

This simple Bordeaux blend consists of  Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and  Merlot.   It is a full bodied red wine that spent one year in American oak barrels.  Has light fresh raspberry and cherry aromas with light bodied flavors of the same fruit plus a bit of tannin. It finishes medium-long.  Very much a wine to match with food, this claret is a great accompaniment to any red meat. Palisade Cabernet.



Lemberger

An Austrian varietal, Lemberger, is rapidly becoming Colorado’s grape.  A medium-bodied dry red, this wine has lots of fruit flavor up front, followed by an earthy note and light toasted oak.  No tannin astringency.  Designed to go with pork, it is very versatile with food and works especially well with BBQ.  Nice with appetizers and light foods. Nice summer red.                   
                                             
Pinot Noir

A lovely European style Burgundy wine which does not have the tannic astringency of a Bordeaux wine.  Aged in French and American oak barrels.  It has a slight cherry flavor with a smooth finish.  This wine pairs well with Italian tomato based foods and salmon.                               
                   
Pinolem

A blend of our Cottonwood Vineyards Pinot Noir and Lemberger.  It is a light bodied medium dry (1.5 residual sugar) red wine.  It provides the benefit of tannins without the astringency.  Lovely fruit flavors.  Nice in summer with light meals.                 

White Lemberger

Off-Dry summer wine; makes a great Sangria.  It has a nose of strawberry, cherry, cranberry and citrus peel.  The aromas are sweet but lead to sweet edged flavors of the same with the additions of lime at the back and nice acidity.  The medium-broad, persistent finish is on the back half of the palate and has lovely peach note at the end. Well balanced, structured and integrated. Very Popular!                          
                       
Chardonnay

This light and crisp dry white wine starts with a light creamy bouquet of oak, apple, and pineapple.  Flavors of apple, unripe pineapple and oak are laced with firm acidity and moderate tannin.  It finishes medium-broad and medium-long with a lingering spicy oak flavor.  Pairs well with a variety of foods, fish, chicken, cheeses etc…  A pleasant chardonnay for any purpose.

2009 Reserve Merlot

As usual, our Reserve Merlot is big, with aromas of black cherry, cranberry, and dark plum. The fruit flavor up front blend into flavors of leather, toasted oak, light spice and moderate tannins.  With good structure and lots of complexity we call these our "cab drinker's Merlot."  It will accompany any red meat or Duck, but is best paired with Colorado lamb.
